The Turkish Connection

Book One in the Sleuthing with Mortals series

A Norse goddess turned private detective hires a live-in ghost writer to craft her memoirs.

Lin Thoren, a minor Norse goddess turned private detective, is married to the god Hoenir (now known as Hunter). Lin hires Mary Lambert to live in as ghostwriter of Lin’s memoirs. They live in a Washington, D.C suburb.

Although ancient, Lin and Hunter are youthful and beautiful; neither shares human views of morality – sexual or otherwise. Everything Mary thought was real and unreal is turned upside down as she records Lin’s memoir, which covers many eras, cultures, and historical events, often humorously. Life and love in the home of gods proves mind-bending in other ways, too.

“In Spruzen's brilliant new novel, The Turkish Connection, we meet the most original and inventive characters in literature in a long while.  It's a crazy and fun ride, filled with piercing humor and wonderful plot twists.  This is a great and memorable book.”
