My Flower Ladies Trilogy, Chessie, and more news
Osprey nest near our the Chesapeake Bay house
I’m sitting by the front windows of our house on the Chesapeake Bay, admiring the sun-speckled water that rivals the Mediterranean for its dancing light. Spring, with its warmer air and backdrop of fresh green, is so uplifting after the gray and cold of winter. The ospreys are back, and it won’t be long before chicks raise their little heads above the rim of the nest. I hope they thrive. Climate change has disrupted their food supply to a point where many fledglings around here don’t make it.
My Flower Ladies trilogy will be published this year—Pansy Uprooted on May 21, Lily Transplanted on June 21, and Iris Rooted on July 21. As usual, the 4 Horsemen artists have outdone themselves and produced entrancing covers, which you can see on the book page. I hope you enjoy this tale of a female serial killer and her redemption—sort of!
I’m in the process of writing the fifth book of the “Sleuthing with Mortals” series. This one features Chessie. You haven’t heard of Chessie? It’s the monster who lives in the Chesapeake Bay—a very lonely monster, as it turns out. You’ll meet Nessie, the Loch Ness monster, too. Their real names aren’t Chessie and Nessie, though. Lin and Hunter, Mary and Rose, and the rest of the crew go through more trials and tribulations (they can’t help themselves), with their usual grit and flair. I’m rather behind with this one, so bear with me.
That’s all for now. Happy spring!
